Ilyas Ahmed studied Aviation Welding at NCTVT (Hindustan Aeronautics Limited), Bangalore. He worked off-shore from 1989 – 2003 as an Oil Field Welder and AWS Welding Engineer and went on to teach at Ahmedabad Academy of Arts. Ilyas has done more than seven solo and joint shows in Mumbai and Bangalore, where he presently lives and works.
